High turnout at Packaging Innovations in Warsaw

The members of the PrintCity Alliance were pleased to welcome numerous visitors at the trade fair in Warsaw. The seminar on eco-friendly premium packaging was also well-attended and inspired many interesting discussions.

Successful trade fair – Relaunch for the PrintCity Alliance

Packaging Innovations was one of the first events to open its doors in Warsaw. Many visitors took advantage of the opportunity for personal discussion, and the PrintCity Alliance’s exhibitors were gratified by the great interest shown in their products and solutions. They networked extensively with new contacts and refreshed relationships with existing ones. After months of lockdown across Europe, the trade fair in Warsaw was a step towards business as usual.

Seminar on eco-friendly premium packaging

PrintCity Alliance members presented new products and concepts for sustainable, eco-friendly, premium paperboard packaging, monomaterial packaging, food packaging, LED UV and climate-neutral production practices. The subject apparently resonated with many in the business, because the seminar area was filled to capacity. It inspired a number of in-depth discussions that continued on at the exhibition booths even after conclusion of the seminar.

Beata Biesiadecka of Zeller+Gmelin had only positive things to say about the seminar :

“We were very positively surprised by such a large number of listeners during our presentation at the seminar. Zeller+Gmelin presented new, low-migration inks for LED UV as well as our cold stamping adhesives. There were many visitors at our booth asking how to print packaging which is innovative, economical and ecological at the same time. Our new, UV, overprintable FCM mat varnish for metal decoration also met with great interest.

Last but not least, it’s been a great pleasure to meet our customers and partners at such a ‘special and difficult’ time. I hope we will all meet again soon.”

Marcin Suchocki of PC Print (Kurz) added: “As every year, Packaging Innovation is a good place to exchange knowledge and experience with customers. Despite these difficult times caused by coronavirus this year, the PI exhibition was also surprisingly filled with discussions and meetings with customers.

This year at our booth, we presented a wide range of solutions for hot stamping and cold transfer sheetfed, but also tools from H&M. We also noticed great interest in our solutions, which we presented at seminars organized during the exhibition. This year we talked about a very important trend: sustainable development. This topic raised many questions after the seminar. We also inspired solutions in the area of cosmetic packaging decoration.

We are looking forward with a positive attitude to Packaging Innovation in 2021, which is already in the planning.”
