manroland AG - Personnel: new managing director at manroland IndiaAnil Bhatia is to follow Raj Nargis
Anil Bhatia (47) is looking forward to bringing new momentum to increasing manroland’s growth in India. He will be taking over as managing director of this manroland Market Organization starting in September 2010, as the successor of Raj Nargis, who is going into retirement. The new managing director Anil Bhatia has more than 25 years of international experience in the marketing and sales of investment goods. Mr. Bhatia studied Engineering and also completed a postgraduate degree in Business Administration. He is married and has a son and a daughter. Anil Bhatia says: “My new team and I want to continue manroland’s successful history in India. This is why we will be offering our customers the exact products and services they need to prosper in a competitive field that is oriented towards growth. We stand by our customers as a professional partner to assist them throughout the entire service life of their presses. I am truly looking forward to this new challenge.” manroland is present in the Indian market since decades. In 2007 manroland opened its own subsidiary in India with headquarters in New Delhi and offices in Mumbai and Chennai. The Indian market has been booming over the past few years. The government has been fighting against illiteracy for the past ten years and the success of this is evident. Approximately 100 million Indians have learned to read and write in this period and the literacy rate has increased to almost 60 percent today. In particular, the printing industry in India is profiting from this development, as new newspapers are brought out almost daily, increasing the demand for print products and the presses they are published on.manroland AG is the world’s second largest printing systems manufacturer and the world’s market leader in web offset.
