Hewlett Packard - Michel LATA innovates with HP to develop labels for authentication and tracking
ISSY LES MOULINEAUX, France, 26 November 2009 - HP today announced that print service provider (PSP) Michel LATA, of Reims, has perfected an industrial system of authentication and tracking for unitary labels, in partnership with Advanced Track and Trace (ATT). These unique highly secure labels are produced using the company's HP Indigo press ws4050. For more than two years, Michel LATA pushed the flexibility of its HP Indigo press ws4050 to develop a unique workflow and database management process, to authenticate and trace every label unitarily. This service has been so success that in 2008 the company invested in a second HP Indigo press, to meet increasing customer demand. "We are proud to have developed an unprecedented system that allows the printing of encoded information within the framework of profitable industrial production," said Luc Jorand, technical director, Michel LATA. "The HP Indigo press ws4050 showed a high level of flexibility and productivity which made this project possible."
