HP Showcases New HP Designjet L25500 and HP Designjet T1200 Printers at Visual Communication in Milan

MILAN, Italy, 05 November 2009 - The new HP Designjet L25500 Printer and the new HP Designjet T1200 Printer are on show on the HP stand (Hall 1 Stand K21/L30) at VISCOM Visual Communication Milan, 5-7 November.

These two latest innovations from HP were launched in October and will be on display for the first time in Italy, today.

The HP Designjet L25500 Printer is designed for ease-of-use and available in 42- and 60-inch models. It utilises HP's Latex Printing Technologies to deliver unrivalled versatility for a wide range of large format applications. Offering print service providers with print durability comparable to eco-solvent inks, the HP Designjet L25500 enables users to significantly reduce the impact of printing on the environment, and increase customer value.

The new HP printer is the ideal solution for small and medium digital print and sign shops, as well as copy shops and photo labs interested in offering an enhanced range of high impact indoor and outdoor applications and increasing their competitive advantage.

The HP Designjet T1200 Printer is one of the latest additions to HP's large-format portfolio. Designed for AEC and GIS professionals to enhance productivity and versatility, this new product features two online rolls with smart switching media length tracking and high-volume ink cartridges, including the new Original HP 726 Matte Black Ink Cartridge, to offer a continuous printing experience at speeds of two D-sized prints per minute.  The HP Designjet T1200 Printer also delivers the thinnest lines in the industry, to enable users to produce prints with precise detail, crisp text, and clear and accurate drawings.

Other HP stand highlights include:

• The HP Scitex FB950 Printer - a 2.5m hybrid UV printer providing consistent high-quality POP/POS, trade show and event signage on a wide range of rigid(1) or flexible media(2) at high speeds of up to 80m2/hr in billboard mode
• The HP Designjet L65500 Printer - a large-format signage printer with HP Latex Inks that reduces the impact of printing on the environment and offers broad outdoor and indoor application versatility
• The HP Designjet Z3200 Photo Printer (44"), HP Designjet Z6100 Printer (42" and 60"), and HP Designjet Z2100 Photo Printer - These three HP Designjet printers deliver outstanding image quality, with an embedded spectrophotometer(3) making calibration and profiling easy for consistently accurate colour reproduction(4).
• The HP Designjet T1120 SD-MFP provides an easy-to-use and affordable solution to small and medium-sized enterprises interested in reducing outsourcing costs with an in-house device that includes print, copy and contact image sensor (CIS) scanning technology. The HP Designjet 4520 HD-MFP also features high-performance scanning and copying capabilities, but is designed specifically for busy reprographic houses and large workgroups, enabling cost-effective production of large-format applications in high volumes.
• The HP Scitex XP5100 Printer - a 5m UV roll-to-roll printer which combines the performance of traditional wide-format printers with the speed, quality, and media versatility of today's UV ink printers. Ideal for creating both indoor and outdoor applications.
• An HP Indigo application area, where PSPs will be able to speak to HP staff who can advise them on the best solutions for their business.
